The 50th state of United States of America. Located in the middle of Pacific, composed of eight main islands: O’ahu, Maui, Kaua’i, Big Island, Ni’ihau, Moloka’i, Lana’i and Koho’olawe. Land of tropical climate, dreamy beaches, biggest surfing competitions in the world, landscape that has to be seen, historical importance and a place where different cultures meet.
Waikiki beach
The most famous beach in Hawaii. In Hawaiian language Waikiki means spouting fresh water. It has great views of Diamond Head, great climate which attracts tourists all year round. It is a popular honeymoon destination. Sunset boat tours are a perfect romantic treat for newlyweds. Along Waikiki beach shopaholics can treat themselves by shopping at some big fashion stores. When tourist feel like not lying under the sunny blue sky, dipping in the crystal waters, cooling down under the palm trees or sipping on the best cocktails, they definitely must hike up Diamond Head trail as it offers one of the best views you will ever get to experience.
Pearl Harbor
Mostly known for the December 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor by the Empire of Japan, which caused United States to enter the World War II. These days Pearl Harbor remains the main base of the US Pacific Fleet and is a popular tourist attraction, where tourist get to see a memorial with the sinken ships still there.
Banzai Pipeline
Banzai Pipeline is a surfing spot located on the North Shore on O’ahu. It is also known as the deadliest wave in the world. In the winter it hosts the best surfers from all over the world at some of the top surfing competitions (Pipe Masters, Volcom Pipe Pro, IBA Pipeline Pro). In the summer it is a beach that attracts tourists that explore the island of O’ahu and offers a fun day at the beach.
Shave Ice
Shave ice is a popular dessert in Hawaii. In hot weather it offers the perfect refreshment. It is based on ice and has flavored syrups added to it. It looks like a rainbow in a snow cone, which makes it very popular with kids, who prefer it to ice cream. Once in Hawaii, you absolutely have to try one.
Kona coffee
Hawaiian Kona coffee is grown in a small section on volcanic soil on the Big Island. Because it is so rare it is one of the most expensive coffees in the entire world. It is considered one of the very best gourmet coffees in the world, with its taste slightly resembling caramel and nuts.
Hawaii – the Aloha land is definitely one of my personal favorite destinations ever. All you need in Hawaii are sunglasses and a pair of swimsuits. It is a romantic place as much as it is an adventurous one. You want to relax on the beach? You want to learn to surf? You want to experience new culture and new rich flavors you can’t experience anywhere else? You just have to hop on the plane and turn the whole world around you off … and then just enjoy the Aloha land.
